Richard "Red" Arnold Richard "Red" Arnold, the son of the late Hobert Allen and Severina Corso Arnold, was born in Christopher, Illinois on August 6, 1940, and passed away at the John J. Pershing V. A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 11, 2005, at the age of 64 years, 10 months and 5 days. Mr. Arnold was a former resident of Illinois before moving to Dexter 27 years ago. Mr. Arnold Was A veteran of the U. S. Army, serving two years during the Vietnam War. He was a retired farmer and was of the Pentecostal denomination. Surviving are a significant other of 27 years, Lillian Orton of Dexter, Missouri; the children he helped raise, Randy Orton, Tina Davis and Shannon Noall all of Dexter, Missouri; one brother, Roy Arnold of Golconda, Illinois; two sisters, Gracie Lane of Goreville, Illinois, Mary Ann Achuchardt of Simpson, Illinois; five granddaughters, Nichole Jarrett, Kourtney Orton, Ashley Orton, Breanna Noall, and Santana Noall; four grandsons, Matt Jarrett, Randy Orton, David Orton, and Brandon Orton. Other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missourio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at 10:30 AM in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Paul Seegraves of Williamsville, Missouri officiating. Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri with full military honors provided by the Stoddard County Veteran's Honor Team.
