Velva Louise Morgan Bright Velva Louise Morgan Bright, the daughter of the late Ernest Morgan and Alma Robinson Morgan Dunn, was born in Acorn Ridge, Missouri on February 17, 1940, and passed away at the Grandview Manor Nursing Home in Grandview, Missouri on March 30, 2005, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 13 days. Mrs. Bright had lived in the Kansas City area since 1985 where she worked at the Church of the Nazarene Headquarters until she was medically retired. She was a member of the Nazarene Church for 48 years and was a member of the Summit View Church of the Nazarene in Grandview, Missouri. She was married to Donald Bright on May 20, 1957 and was later divorced. Surviving are two daughters & sons in law: Penny and Phillip Shields of Parker, Colorado, Sandy and Marty Weiser of Greens Fork, Indiana, three grandchildren: Jeremy Weiser, age 15, Jordan Weiser, age 11, Jaycie Weiser, age 8, four brothers: Johnnie Morgan of Tucumcari, New Mexico, Robert and Densil Morgan both of Dexter, Missouri, Larry Morgan of Punta Gorda, Florida, three sisters: Emma Hyten of Cottontown, Tennessee, Arlene Taylor of Broseley, Missouri, and Barbara Bailey of Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers Wilburn Morgan, Earnest Morgan, Jr., Arthur Ray Morgan, and one sister: Lois Morgan Woolard. Services were held on Saturday April 2, 2005, at the Summit View Church of the Nazarene in Grandview, Missouri with interment in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Olathe, Kansas.
